Classic Aloo paratha using Kaulige Foods’ Multi Millet Roti Mix.
About Mixed Millet
This recipe contains more than one millet. Millets are good for you. More millets are better!- 2 cups Multi Millet Roti Mix
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 nos Potatoes Boiled and peeled
- 2 nos Finely chopped Onions
- 1/2 cup Finely chopped Coriander Leaves
- 2-3 nos Finely chopped green chillies
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp Oil/Ghee
- Make a smooth dough with the Multi Millet Roti Mix. Add salt to taste, Jeera and Turmeric powder. Water should be added little by little until the desired consistency is reached.
- Prepare Aloo Stuffing: Heat oil in a pan. Add Green chillies and Onions. Fry them till onion is transparent. Add turmeric powder and stir well. Add boiled and peeled potatoes to this mixture. Mash the potatoes and mix well with the masala. Add finely chopped Coriander Leaves and mix well. Remove from fire and keep it aside. Once it cools, make small balls.
- Take a pinch of dough and make a smooth ball using your palms. Flatten this dough a little bit. Place the potato ball in the centre of the dough. Gather the edge of the dough in such a way that it covers the potato ball completely. Pinch it in the centre to seal it completely. Gently, press with the palm to flatten this ball. Dust dry flour and use rolling pin flatten the ball. Place it on a hot tawa and cook until small brown spots appear on the sides. Flip it and cook the other side as well. Use Ghee/Butter as per preference.
- Serve hot with some raitha or pickle.
