About Foxtail Millet

Foxtail is very rich in phosphorus and thiamin (Vitamin B1) in addition to all the general millet characteristics (gluten-free, low glycemic index, high fibre, etc).

Foxtail Millet is also called Navane (in Kannada), Thenai (in Tamil), Korralu (in Telugu) and Kakum (in Hindi)

Instructions
  1. Make a fine paste of soaked Foxtail millet rice and cooked Foxtail millet rice using a grinder.
  2. Pour a large spoonful of this dosa batter on a hot pan. Spread it evenly.
  3. When all the water has evaporated, add a little oil and flip the dosa.
  4. Serve with Chutney. In the picture, I have served it with peanut chutney and potato fries; my kids favourite.
